I replaced the plugs and valve cover gasket on my e36. I picked up 3 MPG and the car is running much smoother. What did you do this weekend??
(Not my picture, but Same engine so wth)

This weekend was more remarkable because I didn't work on the Jeep... it's miraculously been starting and running and stopping like it should. But some fender choppin' and transfer case armorin' and new air filterin' needs to happen soon.

haha, I'm just putting off working on mine. I still have a track bar and sway bar links to do on it. Sounds like yours is going to be quite the off-roading machine. Are you going the mud route, or prepping it for lots of rocks? Now that I have the two vehicles, the idea of making my jeep a bit meatier than stock is a bit more tempting.

poor choice. I avoided studying calc many times in college. It was always a bad choice.

Yup, XJ made it through the winter into motorcycle season, so now I don't have the fear of losing my ride to work and the fun can begin! I've mainly been mudding with it, but the Mounds has a bit of a rock crawl section so might as well start throwing armor on too. It's just a matter of where I want to throw money... motorcycle (thinking of getting a new one, want a full track suit, tires, etc) or Jeep (need to save for inevitable engine rebuild or replacement, still need to pick up a 31" spare, cut n roll the flares to accommodate said 31s offroad, new and improved front bumper, winch, decide if I want a limited slip diff, skid plates, etc)
I do have a birthday coming up too... wonder if I should drop any hints to the boyfriend.

I thought 31s fit in the stock wheel wells, or is it the offroad usage case that makes it needed? You have quite the list there. I'm sure he would appreciate the hints. It's always nice to have easy choices of things to buy when birthdays come up.

I have a 97, apparently they made the fender styling slightly tighter that year. The 31s have zero rub (with 3" lift) once I ripped out the wheel liners and front bumper end caps, but they definitely need more clearance for offroading and towing/carrying a lot of stuff.

Pulled intake and exhaust off of my YJ Jeep and found one missing bolt and one broken stud ... drilled and tapped and ordered replacement parts (gasket and bolt and stud kit )

I had a YJ! You are a brave person to tackle that exhaust manifold. I ignored a slight leak due to a broken stud/bolt (I forget which) in mine for a couple years because I dreaded dealing with that rusted hulk.

I know that feeling....... Just after you get parts in, and realize you have to put them on.

It was not bad ... Colorado Car no rust .The 6+ inches of lift and 33inch tires makes me hate climbing up on it I feel like I went rounds with a boxer. On the plus side its done and stud kit should be here tomorrow then re assembly starts basically 6-8 hours and a case of beer over 2 days for dis-assemble and drill and tap and cleanup. Ill have it back together in about 2 hours give or take.

I tightened some clamps on my exhaust and I helped my dad install an oil water separator on the Lincoln LS.
BTW, did you spot any oil in your plug valleys?

ooooh yeah. That's why I did the gasket. 3 of the plugs had oil in the plug tunnel thing, and one plug was really loose.

My Gasket was hard and crunchy when I replaced it.

mine wasn't crunchy, but when I pulled the valve cover off, it did come off in multiple pieces.
